The FASTAP article has been crowned the Best Article of 2023 in Transformer Magazine. Developed by the team from Siemens Gamesa, SGB-SMIT, Infineon, and Mondragon University, the FASTAP project has showcased excellence and recognition for its revolutionary contribution to the wind energy sector.
The winning article, titled “Overcoming hurdles: Challenges in testing and validating wind turbine transformers with electronic tap changers” authored by Uğur Yayan and Osman Yılmaz, from Siemens Gamesa, stood out with 175 votes. The duo emphasized FASTAP technology and its potential to revolutionize the wind energy market.
The announcement was made in a dedicated section of the magazine, with Transformers Magazine expressing gratitude to readers for their votes and acknowledging the contributions of all authors. The voters’ choice, the FASTAP article, was highlighted as a significant contribution to standardization activities in the realm of power transformers and electronic tap changers.
As a token of appreciation, the winners of both awards will receive a free conference fee for Transformer Magazine’s Industry Navigator event. The magazine also announced a call for papers for its first special edition of the year, focusing on Sustainable Investments, to be published in May.
